PBNEWS needed its first dedicated website to establish a credible digital presence. The publication required an online platform that could support regular content publishing, showcase featured stories, and remain flexible enough for future growth. The challenge was to create a professional news-style website that felt local, trustworthy, and easy to manage without technical complexity.
The process began by reviewing similar regional and niche business publications to understand how content is structured, prioritized, and consumed. Special attention was given to readability, content flow, and how readers navigate between breaking news, features, and evergreen stories.
Editorial needs were also considered, including how writers and editors would publish and manage content daily. This helped shape decisions around layout hierarchy, post categorization, and backend usability. Performance, SEO structure, and mobile responsiveness were treated as core requirements, not add-ons.
A custom WordPress-based news platform was designed and developed from scratch with scalability in mind. The website features a clean editorial layout, a rotating hero section for top stories, and clearly defined content sections for different story types.
Custom post types for News, Features, and Events were created using Advanced Custom Fields, allowing editors to manage content directly from the dashboard. SEO-friendly structure, social sharing integration, and performance optimizations were built into the site to support visibility and engagement.
PBNEWS launched with a modern, professional online platform that reflects its role as a trusted local business publication. The website supports consistent publishing, improves reader engagement, and provides a solid foundation for future editorial and advertising growth.
